About Us
The Creston Valley Early Childhood Development Committee provides information and programming for parents and children birth to six years of age. We are pleased to have 18 partners in the Creston Valley! We share the desire to provide a wide variety of accessible services, support and plenty of resources to ensure we are the best parents we can be and our children are ready for school by age six! The Creston Valley is one of 7 communities in the East Kootenays working together to improve early childhood development service, awareness and organization.
We are fortunate to participate in the provincial wide early childhood initiative
Success By 6® is an early childhood development initiative dedicated to providing all children with a good start in life. It helps to ensure that children ages 0 to 6 develop the emotional, social, cognitive, and physical skills they need as they
enter school. Success By 6 builds and enhances community through engaging citizens in early childhood development, and funding programs that strengthen services for young children and their families.
Prevention-focused, research-informed and community-based, Success By 6 envisions a community where all children are valued, respected, nurtured, loved and given the opportunity to develop to their full potential as creative, caring, competent and responsible adults.
